At Kicking Horse Ford, community means everything. From September 15 to 25, we teamed up with Lady Grey Elementary School and Ford Canada for the Fill-A-Ford campaign, a simple but powerful challenge to fill a Ford vehicle with non-perishable food in support of the Golden Food Bank. 

Rallying the Community 

We invited students, families, and locals to donate food items throughout September. The response was nothing short of inspiring. What started as a classroom challenge quickly became a community movement, proving once again how generous the people of Golden truly are. 

By the end of the drive, our Ford was filled to the brim with kindness, over 1,461 pounds of food, adding up to more than 1,500 individual items! These donations will go a long way toward helping local families in need as we head into the colder months. 

Celebrating Team Spirit 

A special congratulations goes to Ms. Smith’s class at Lady Grey Elementary School for collecting the most food items and earning a well-deserved Pizza Party, thanks to the amazing folks at The Turning Point Restaurant. 

We also want to recognize the hardworking student volunteers who helped organize, count, and sort every single donation. Their enthusiasm and teamwork kept the spirit of the event alive from start to finish.
